Mosaic tile is any mix of tile shapes, colors, sizes and/or textures, placed into a single sheet for simple installation. They are generally ceramic, porcelain, glazed, glass, limestone, marble, on a metal mesh-mounted or flat sheet, and usually with interlocking textured vinyl edges. The tiles come in different colors such as ivory, blue, red, brown, green, black, white, yellow, pink, gray, rose, wine and burgundy, and you can also get them in many different shapes, such as rectangles, ovals, squares, octagons, trapezoids and trapezes. There are mosaic tile patterns to choose from as well, and depending on the manufacturer you buy them from, they can range from very simple to very complex in design. They can have added textured or raised areas for a more artistic look to your space.
